Levenhuk Rainbow 2L PLUS Orange Microscope
Bright microscope for beginning researchers. Experiment kit included. Magnification: 64–640x.
Levenhuk Rainbow 2L PLUS Orange Microscope is a perfect gift for a teenager who loves biology, as well as for a medical student. With this microscope you can observe infusorians and aquarium microscopic crustaceans; study the cellular structure of plants; and conduct a variety of interesting experiments and research. The kit includes everything needed for making your first steps in this science.
The lenses are made of quality glass and coated with multiple layers of special anti-reflective coating. The microscope creates crisp and contrast views – image quality is especially important when working at high magnifications.
The instrument comes with three objective lenses producing 64x, 160x, and 640x magnification. To change magnification power, simply turn the revolving nosepiece. 40xs eyepiece (provides the highest magnification power) is equipped with a special spring mechanism. When focusing, you might accidently touch the coverslip with the glass. If that happens, the spring-loaded lens will retract a little, preventing any possible damage. The slide and the lens will stay intact.
The microscope is equipped with two bright LED lights. To observe microorganisms in a water drop or examine the structure of an onion flake, use lower illumination. Upper illumination is used for observing opaque samples such as coins and stones. The brightness level is adjustable.
Body design and power supply
The robust metal body of the microscope ensures its high reliability and long service life even when used intensively. It is perfect for biology classes at school, and for laboratory research. To exclude any inconvenience during lengthy use, the microscope is equipped with a 45-degrees inclined monocular head. Moreover, it can be rotated 360 degrees around its axis, which is very convenient for group work.
